A Message from the Festival Director

I saw firsth and how Christian Film makers are stepping up to fill a vital need right now. Their vision is much greater and far-reaching than most people realize...The Bad news about the Christian Film makers in Nigeria is that we have a very long way to go. And the good news? We have the energy, determination and courage to go all the way……………thank God.

ON BEHALF of my team, I want to welcome you to the Gospel Film Festival.

I must say that it is very difficult to pull this magnitude of event through because of our enormous challenges but determination has been the watch word, while Grace and Favor has been our companion.

I saw firsth and how Christian Film makers are stepping up to fill a vital need right now. Their vision is much greater and far-reaching than most people realize. The digitalization of media is bringing a massive flood of new young Christian filmmakers on the scene.

The Bad news about the Christian Film makers in Nigeria is that we have a very long way to go. And the good news? We have the energy, determination and courage to go all the way……………thank God.

This festival is exactly what is needed right now to steer them toward producing films that are professional, commercially viable, and also fruitful for eternity…….. I believe that decades from now we will see filmmakers who are changing the world who will undoubtedly state that Gofestival is what God used to help ground them and prepare them for long term success.

The fact is that Nigerian’s is discontent with a lot of negative, monopolistic stranglehold on film and culture. The humanistic religious worldview of our elites and their intense hatred for Valves and the valve system which it embodies has created a rift in OUR culture and profoundly damaged the family. We intend to respond, not by cursing the darkness, but by lighting candles. Building a Christian independent film festival is one such candle.

Along the way, we want to have a lot of fun. We hope to see diverse  and  innovative films that fill us with joyous laughter for the glory of God, that make us rejoice in the goodness of Christ over His creation, that prepare us to be betters warriors for Christ, that draw us closer to our savior, and that give a Gospel message of hope to a dying generation.

Am really grateful to God that you decided to join us this June in Ibadan a beautiful city full of life, a rich historic past, and wonderful food interaction with interesting and like-minded Christians from across the nation.  Whether you are making a submission, participating, delegate, interacting, networking or just coming to enjoy the films, we believe that the Gospel Film Festival will

The festival will also forever be thankful to the CFC for donating an award to the festival.

Am thrilled to announce that we received a record numbers of entries this year from diverse Christian production outfit and the most surprising entries came from Benin Republic.
